Masonic Education

Symbol

My Brothers,

The Committee on Masonic Education, works under the authority of; Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Colorado Constitution and Bylaws, Section 37(7), and states:

"On Masonic Education, to consist of five members, whose duty it shall be to promote the study of Masonry in Lodges and by Masons, and to formulate and effectuate the necessary plans therefore."

Tasks:
At this time we have two tri-fold brochures under development. The first concerns "Colorado Grand Lodge History" and is in the process of being coordinated for use with Grand Lodge of Colorado 150th Anniversary in 2011 and activities leading up to that celebration. The second discusses increasing public interest in Masonry and the fraternity's response to this interest.

Progress:
In addition to development of tri-fold brochures, last year we worked to develop a paperless Masonic information dissemination system, and in keeping with his vision of having Masonic education presented at each Blue Lodge meeting this year, Most Worshipful Grand Master McConnell, has given us the green light this year to work with the Grand Lecturer, and his district lecturers, to appoint Information Officers in each Blue Lodge in the State of Colorado. The officers chosen must have the capability of receiving and sending e-mail, for the purpose of using weekly electronic messages distributed by this committee that can be used for Masonic education at each regular stated communication. Please contact us at: masoniced@coloradofreemasons.org if you are interested in being appointed information officer of your Lodge.

Future development:
Working with the Colorado Grand Lodge webmaster, informative web pages, pod casts, downloadable video and audio files, portable document files (PDFs), will be readily accessible by any member when visiting this page. We feel communication between every constituent Lodge in Colorado and the Masonic Education Committee is essential for mutual success, so please contact this committee at masoniced@coloradofreemasons.org for requesting information, if you have suggestions, or to share items you've found in print or on the Internet.

Fraternally, W.Bro. Robert D. Elsloo, P.M.
